We had free and easy on our last night of Taiwan tour. Free and easy, our most awaited part of our tour, why? because its BUFFET TIME!!! Jeff had been researching for almost a month where we can try buffet in Taiwan, because both of us loves to eat buffet, so went to Chao Ping Ji.

After our last itinerary in Sun Yat Sen Palace, We went to San Want Hotel Branch which is 2 mrt stations away from Sun Yat Sen Palace. We had a chance to experience their mode of transportation and it is far better than we had in the Philippines. When we arrived there, we got disappointed because they only served Ala-carte menu not buffet style. So we decided to go to another branch. When we are at the Taipei Central Station we got confused which way to go, and we remembered that it is where all the mrt lines in Taiwan connected. Luckily, there's a WIFI available , so we quickly checked the exactly locations we are heading and the direction towards there. So we followed the direction but yet there's intersection we don't know if its right or left so we asked the mrt personnel there but he cannot read alphabet so he passed us to his colleagues, Thank you Lord, he can read and understand English. That's why we managed to find the Chao Ping Ji, yehey!!!! I almost lost my patience because we are so tired of our whole day tour and the long walks continue until night. But its all worth it!

Luckily there were English translation on their menu.
The restaurant was not a typical dimsum buffet restaurant wherein the waiters have carts running all over the place and offering you whatever they have in their carts. Here, you can just have to tell them the certain dish you want from their menu and they will prepare it for you

While waiting for them to serve us the food. The waiter gave us jasmine tea. We both love the tea as it was perfect for our empty stomach.

Here are some of the foods that we tried.
Honey Barbeque Pork

Roasted Barbeque Pastry
Omg! one bite and I experienced fire works!
The pastry and meat was awesome!!!

Chicken Congee with Shredded Abalone and Bamboo Shoot

Steam Egg Yolk Custurd Bun
This is our favorite!
My heart pound because the joy I felt when I tasted this Fire works again!
We had 2 round for this one. Its highly recommended!

Yummy and over flowing egg custurd inside

Deep Fried Soft Shell Crab with Salt & Pepper

Steamed Pork and Crab Roe Dumpling

Crispy Spring Roll with Garoupa

Fried Rice with Barbeque Pork

Steamed Shrimp and Bamboo Shoot Dumpling

 Steamed Beef  Balls with Watecress

Pan Fried Turnip

Stif Friend Beef and Bean Sprout with Satay Sauce

For our dessert, we only chose one each as both of us is already full
Red Bean & Black Sticky Rice in Coconut Milk

White Fungus and Dried Longan Sweet Soup

Amongst the food that we tried, Roasted Barbeque Pastry and Steam Egg Yolk Custurd Bun is a must try!

Overall this place is Highly Recommended!
