Its been a month since our wedding last December. So Jeff and I decided to celebrate it by having a simple lunch together. Luckily our 1st monthsary as Husband and Wife falls on Sunday and as usual we first attended a mass at Sacred Heart and follow our lunch at the Supply and Demand Restaurant in Esplanade.

Supplier's Review

After one year of wedding preparation, finally we tied a knot last 18 December 2014, the most awaited day was filled with joy and happiness, tears, excitement, fulfilment, memories and love. We thanked God for the blessings we received and to all our guests who shared their time and effort to witness our blessed union and to all our suppliers who rendered their good service to make our wedding become memorable.

Christ the King Church

Rating: 5 out of 5

• We choose Christ the King Church because its golden altar, the huge Christ the King has an impact to me and I saw myself walking down the aisle on that church.
• The location is both accessible in Marikina and Cainta where we lived by.
• Ample parking space.
• The wedding schedule in Christ the King is not cram. They only have 3 weddings a day and a lot 1.5 hours each wedding, so their will be ample time for picture taking.
• We had a smooth transaction with Ms. Dodo, although we heard a lot of not so good feedback to her that she's not easy to deal with etc. 
• Father Gelo had a wonderful homily during our wedding and we both love it.
• We got our original copy of Marriage Certificate after a week of our wedding.

Acropolis Clubhouse

Our main criteria in looking for a reception place was it should be near the Christ the King Church. Our first choice was the Christ the King Parish Hall but it was already booked that time. Luckily, Acropolis clubhouse was still available.

• It's less that 5 minutes away from Christ the King Church.
• Ample parking space.
• The capacity of the Acropolis Clubhouse is good for 200 pax. Its enough for our 150 person target guests.

Why we gave a rating of 4 out of 5 because:

• Indoor fireworks is not allowed.
• They did not allow our caterer to set-up early even though the first event prior to us ended earlier.

We have been following him since 2008, we love his works a lot.

• We love the vibrant colours and sharpness of his photos.
• He is very good when it comes to details.
• He is very good in communication and easy to deal with.

Why we gave a rating of 4.5 out of 5

• His basic package doesn't include a pre-nup session.
• Lacking of some photos during our wedding. Since we are into photography, we are looking for some specific photos that we think he should captured it. I guess that's the down side of having a client that does photography and having auxiliary photographer. But nonetheless, every thing was fine and we are happy and satisfied with his output.

Wedding East was a w@w find. Based on his website he has a potential to be a good videographer. We also booked them as auxiliary photographer

• Promising videographer. 

Why we gave a rating of 4 out of 5

• He was shy during our first meet up, and we are shy as well. That's why we felt we did not establish a good communication during that time. But when we meet him again after the wedding to get our video and raw photos we are comfortable with each other. He should continue and develop good communication with his client.
• We think that his photographer team doesn't coordinate with our main photographer.

• We had a difficulty communicating with Ms. Anj thru email, she said she did not receive our emails. But she can be reach easily thru text and phone calls. 

SMA Weddings & Beyond

SMA Weddings & Beyond was a Girl Talk find. 

• Sheena was very organize.
• She followed all our instructions especially during the reception.
• Her team was awesome, we did not hear any bad feed back from our guests.
• The coordinator assigned to me and my husband as our assistant was very polite, helpful and attentive.
• We appreciate her good service rendered to us. 
• Highly recommended!

Why we gave a rating of 4 out of 5

• A night before our wedding, our videographer sms us what was their call time on our wedding day. We we're surprised that he haven't received any call from Sheena. We called her to asked why, she said our HMUA Val Villain just confirmed his call time.

Overall SMA Weddings & Beyond did a great job, though there was a miss, it was a minor thing for us. They're one of the reason why our wedding was very smooth and successful.

Val Villarin was a w@w find. Based on his fb portfolio, he was consistent in all his previous brides. I tried to haggle the package he offered to me but i wasn't successful. hahaha But nonetheless, it was worth it!

• I went to his studio for my trial make-up and i was already impressed on his work.
• His team was the early bird during our wedding day.
• He did a great job! He really made me the most beautiful bride that day! :) Everybody loves my fresh looking make-up.
• His team did a great HMU to our entourage, my mother and mother-in-law.

Rejectkrew

Rejectkrew rate was expensive for us. We think its just lights and sound so we don't bother when it comes to this matter. But our Caterer, Ms. Anj. told us that Rejectkrew was good to have because they're very familiar to Acropolis and they can make it beautiful. Luckily, we booked them early 2014 because Kuya Elmer was not replying to our email and text immediately. 

Actually we did not notice carefully the output of Rejectkrew because we're floating with joy and happiness during our wedding and we just go with the flow with our emcee and coordinator's instruction.

Toy Cakes & Pastries

Toy Cakes & Pastries was another w@w find. We got his 5th year anniversary promo 3 tier wedding cake at 5,000 pesos. 

• Chef Kiko was easy to deal with, we had a smooth transaction thru emails and always replied promptly to all our queries. We never got the chance to meet him because we are both an overseas couple.
• The cake was absolutely delicious!!!
• He got the design that we want.

Ellen Timbol

Rating: 5 out of 5

Ellen Timbol was a Girl Talk find. She was new in the mainstream when we booked her. Despite with only few reviews on her worked we trust our instinct to get her service to host our wedding. 

• We had a smooth transaction thru emails and fb and always replied to all our queries and i can sense her warmth and friendliness towards our conversation.
• We are star struck when we meet her, she was so pretty and always smiling. 
• She was conversant on her field gave good suggestions for our wedding program.
• We love her program especially the single games and scenarios for the photo opp.
• She was a good host! She really guide us on during our reception.
• There was no dull moment during the program. During the single games i was supposed to call all the participant but unfortunately their not in their corresponding seats and i don't know where they are so i told Ellen that we will do the singles game anymore. And she quickly announced to watched our SDE. After that i saw all of them and we proceed to play the single games. We we're so thankful that it pushed thru because it was so fun and all of us enjoyed watching it and laughing out loud.
• She was a good singer. 
• Highly recommended!

Gina Bruce

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

Gina Bruce was recommended by my husband's Tita. We booked her to do my wedding gown, 2 mothers and flower girl. 

• Gina's store is just located in Marikina. We just lived in Marikina and Cainta so its convenient for us to go to her shop.
• She gave us reasonable price.
• I like the simplicity of my wedding gown! Its exactly what i want.

Why we gave a rating of 3.5 out of 5

• Magulo siyang kausap. She would tell us to come back to her shop for fitting but most of the time the dress was not yet ready. Especially my mother-in-law's gown, nagkamali siya ng tabas sa damit imbis na floor length na tabs niya ng maigsi. Kailangan neighing ulitin kasi hindi nagustuhan ng mother-in-law ko at alam niyang mali kasi mananahi din siya. Nagkamali din soya ng tabas sa damit ng flower girl.
• Nagpabalik balik kami sa shop niya para makuha yung wedding gown ko. Dec. 17 ng umaga ko na nakuha yung veil ko. At nung gabi na ng nasa hotel kami napansin ko na wala yung peticot. Tinext ko siya para sabihin at buti na lang idinaan nya sa hotel namin nung gabi.

Arvox Tailoring

Arvox Tailoring did my husband's suit. We don't have any complain to them.

• Its perfectly fit.
• Meets the deadline
• Easy to deal with and his wife was very friendly.
• Reasonable price.

Capture All of 'Em Photo Booth

Rating: 3.5 out of 5

The first one we booked for our photo booth is supposed to be clique-shots photo booth. But 2 weeks before our wedding clique-shots told us that they cannot covered our wedding day because they have a food fair to attend on the following day. We are not their priority. We we're pissed off to hear that because who will be available photo booth on a peak season. Luckily we manage to find Capture All of 'Em Photo booth in the facebook and straight away booked them when they told us that they are still available on our wedding.

Why we gave a rating of 3.5 out of 5

• They send us the layout night before our wedding. I did not like the layout but i'd rather not to be fussy on that matter so we just approved it.
• I'm surprised when i saw the print out because its not magnet! We pay for a magnetic Photo Booth!
