DIY: Pre-nup Shoot {Teaser}

We had our first DIY pre-nup shoot last 31 January 2014 in an isolated place here in Singapore. We don't want to do it in a crowded place thinking that it will be odd to pose with a tripod, hehehe. Why we choose to have a DIY pre-nup shoot? Because both of us do photography as a hobby and sideline sometimes. We want to be the subject of our own captured photos. Though, we cannot captured candid shots that we both loved to captured because we are limited by the set timer. 

We both had fun DIY experience. We felt that we are just playing, posing while waiting for the timer to shot. hahaha We still have 3 sets to go, until next time...

OTD: SMA Weddings & Beyond

Yesterday, we already booked our OTD. Yehey, finally we found one. We have been searching from the moment we were engaged. OTD was one of the suppliers that we were so afraid to booked the wrong one. We attended few friends wedding and we saw and experienced bad coordination service from them. One of my friend's wedding (bride) intruded by a gate crasher. Worst part, the gate crasher had an opportunity to took the bride's bag full of envelopes and money given by their principal sponsor and guest. One of the coordinator voluntarily took the bag from my friend because they are going to have a photo booth opp but she left the bag on the table. Also, they did not follow their instruction to have one point of entry and double check the guest's name. They even told us to sit on any vacant table when group of people occupied our reserved table. -__-

Our first choice is 4leaf Events & Beyond. My friend is one of the coordinator in 4leaf Events & Beyond. I want someone that I know to take charge on my wedding. I know how she is dedicated to her work and crafts. But unfortunately for 2 reasons we did not get them; 1.) she no longer part of the coordination team. She wants to focus what she loved most - styling. 2.) We cannot afford their rates.

We also considered to get the coordination package of our caterer - Ma Del's Catering. Thinking it will be convenient for us to liaise with one person on catering and OTD. But we had second thought to booked her because we cannot find any reviews regarding on her coordination services. Still we decided to booked her, I called Anj to informed her that we will be getting her coordination services. She said it will be add-ons on our contract and we'll discussed that matter when we meet again. Last week, h2b read a comment on Girl Talk Forum regarding Ma Del's coordination services that change our mind.

So the search goes on for our OTD, h2b was so keen to get one, so he emailed the prospective OTD that were going to get. We got replied by others that they no longer available on our dates and some that we cannot afford their rates.

Thank God, he gave us SMA Weddings & Beyond. Their reviews are good and their rates is beyond our budget. Sheena - Events Director, is very friendly in our conversation via whatsapp. We are looking forward to meet her personally on September and discuss matters regarding our wedding preparation.

Countdown: 8 months 29 days...

18 March 2014: 8 months 29 days and counting... 

Months, days and time is passing by before our most awaited day of our life. In a span of 4 months since we got engaged, we already had booked major suppliers.
